The 19th we went to a concert in Madison! Samantha, Emily and I went with our friends Lauren, Kristen, Kelsey, Kate, Vanessa, and Marc. We also had daddy and Lauren's dad come to. We saw several artist like David Crowder Band, FEE, Remedy Drive, Sidewalk Prophets, and Mercy Me. First we stopped at Culver's for ice cream. In all it was a really fun afternoon and evening!
Last Sunday we dyed eggs. This past Thursday we had our Easter egg hunt outside in the yard. The kids (and us) had a lot of fun with that!!!!
We have also enjoyed several walks and playing outside in the warm spring weather! It has been in the 60 mostly, but some days have been in the 70 or 50.
The car search hasn't really gotten anywhere. They've looked at several, but they just weren't working properly. We've also been working on building a retaining wall sorta thing for the driveway so we can get more gravel.
Lillian LOVES to be outside. She is always begging to go "out". She continues to talk more and more and run all over the house.
As we begin to get caught up in the excitement of spring it is good to remember what Christ has done for us! He came down leaving everything, more than we can ever imagine, to a sinful world. To die pain-filled, gruesome death for us. US! He endured pain, heartache, ridicule, mocking, separation from God, from His perfection all so we could live eternally with Him. Easter is more than candy and eggs. It's even more than Christ rising from the dead. It's about the WHOLE reason Jesus came. Let us sorrow in His sufferings, but let us also rejoice in His overcoming! Overcoming sin, death, pain, suffering. Giving us hope, a reason to live, and a knowledge of His awesome mercy and kindness. And let us ALWAYS remember (and proclaim) His life, His death, and His resurrection!
The captian and officers arrested Jesus and bound Him. They scourged Him, twisted a crown of thorns and put it upon His head. They mocked Him and took Him away. And He bore His cross up to Golgotha, where they crucified Him. The soldiers took His garments and divided them and cast lots for them. Then seeing He was dead, the soldiers pierced His side. And a man named Joseph, took His body and laid it in a tomb. Now on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw the stone rolled away and the tomb empty. Jesus has risen!
