Hi everyone,
We have been pretty busy this summer.
We've had a few litters of baby bunnies this summer. Our one bunny has nine babies each time. Since she can only take care of eight at a time, we took her ninth in the house and fed it kitten formula. It lived a few days, but then got sick and died. The second time she had babies, we put the ninth in with another mom bunny. But it soon died also. We also had two other moms have babies. We had a total of 21 living babies this summer.(I think)
Our outside cat is also expecting a litter of kittens. We think they will be born the middle of October. She had a litter this summer,(the end of June) but they died.
We are all doing well. Levi is getting very grown up. He talks to himself and can prop-sit for a few seconds.
The beginning of September, we went to a Christian Youth & Family camp for their Fall Work weekend. It is to help shut things down for the winter. It's about three hours north of us. We brought home some pine trees to plant in our yard. So far, they are all doing well.
I will try to post a devotional I wrote for school in the next few days.

This is where I post the going-ons of our life. Being a large, busy family, some may think we are a little crazy, but that's ok--we have lots of fun!

The first picture is of Levi in his boppy pillow. The second is of Becky, the Lady who Samantha is going to stay with.
A lot has happened since last time a posted. It would take days to write it all. I'll give a brief over view.In April:
Grandma came and stayed for a week, to help after Levi was born. We had lots of fun!
In May:
Samantha had her 15th birthday and birthday party.
Pete had his 8th birthday.
We went to a close friend of the family's wedding.
We watched two girls my age Labor Day weekend.
In June:
We went to the Zoo and saw a dinosaur exhibit. It had fake, life size dinosaurs that made noise and moved.
Joy had her Half birthday.(4 1/2)
This month:
Monday, Samantha went to work at Christian Camp about three hours north of us. She work there in the kitchen till Saturday. Then she went to stay for a week at some people's house, they are like grandparents to us. She is coming home Thursday night.

Today it was really nice outside. We went out to watch some people deliver building supplies to our neighbor. Then we played out there for awhile. After daddy got home from work we were out there 1-2 hours working on the rabbit area. Today our Baby Moses Basket came, but the roof was deformed. They our going to send us a new one. A "Baby Moses Basket" is a weaved, oval shaped basket with a small mattress and padded sides for a baby to lay in. They can lay in it till they roll over.
In the baking contest Daniel won first place in his category. Pete won second. I won second in a different category. Prizes were: A 1-pound circle of chocolate with a picture of a chocolate factory and the words 'Chocolate City' (the contest was in Burlington which is The chocolate city) and a lunch bag full of candy bars, chocolate milk powder, and a coupon for a free ice cream cone from Dairy Queen, McDonald's, & Culvers.

Today it was about 70 degrees Fahrenheit! We went for a walk and played outside for awhile.
Tomorrow the midwife is coming for the home visit and we all (Mommy and Samantha, Emily, Pete, Daniel and I) are planning to make a chocolate desert for a Chocolate Fest Recipe Contest. It has two categories; Adult and child 6-12. If you win first in the adult then you win a Kitchen Aid upright mixer. All children who enter get a prize and every one who enters gets a free ticket to Chocolate Fests (it's kind of like a fair around the theme of chocolate).

It has kind of been a busy month for us. We didn't go many places but we were sick a lot of the month. It started the last Friday of February, Laurel threw up. Now it seems to be over, after two weeks.
On the first Emily had her 10th birthday. On the fourth we were going to have here party, but we were sick still. The eleventh we did have her party. It was a lot of fun with the theme Hello Kitty. We made erasers, ate a heart shaped, three tiered yellow cake with whipping cream frosting, and pulled ribbon strings to open the hello kitty shaped piƱata. We all had a lot of fun!
Also on the eleventh our outside cat had her second litter of kittens! This time she had them in our window well that is under our porch. If we go down in the basement we can look out the window and see them! They are about 1 1\2 weeks old.
On the seventeenth we went to thee midwife. Everything looking good. Then we went shopping until about supper time.
Sunday the nineteenth we went to church. First time in about 4 weeks!
This past Monday evening our friend from up north came to spend the night and stay all day Tuesday. We had a tea party in the afternoon. We had lots of fun!!
Tomorrow Joy goes up to Children's for her cardiology(heart) appointment.
Time for lunch.
