Wow! We have had a very busy summer!

Grandma came July 25! She stayed a few days then took Samantha back with her to VA. While she was here in July we went to the CHEA fun fair. We entered a few photos and baked good in the contests, and bought a few things at the auction.

Grandma and Samantha came back August 6. The 8-10 Daddy, Mommy, Joy, and Levi went on a trip to Madison. Everybody else stayed home with Grandma.

Grandma left the 12. We started our pre-fair judging then. Also it was the last softball game of the year. :( Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday we did pre-fair judging too.

Friday the 15 we went to the Children's Parade at the Kenosha County fair. I was an ipod, Emily was a tv, Pete and Levi were roman soldiers, Daniel was a WWII soldier, Joy was a cowgirl, and Laurel was a cook. We then ate lunch in the van on the way to the Walworth County fairgrounds were we had pre-fair judging. After judging Mommy went scrapbooking. Everybody else hung out at a park with the Babiaks. Then for supper we went to the Thelen's for a end of softball picnic.

The next day Mommy went scrapbooking again. Samantha's 55 gallon fish tank cracked on Saturday too! The basement flooded and water got under her laminate wood floor. We took all the fish to the pet store, took up the floor and used a lot of towels cleaning up water.

Tuesday the 18, Mommy and I drove to pick up my friend Alena and went to see the Kit Kitridge movie. Then she came home with us and stayed the night and Wednesday night. Thursday we met her mom and "gave her back". Wednesday night we went for a bike ride in Lake Geneva, then to McDonald's for ice cream.

Friday (August 22) we went to Beloit to pick up a 29 gallon fish tank, stand, and accessories for free. A lady my mom was scrapbooking with offered it to us. Then we went to a scrapbook store. We ate supper at Pizza Hut. After supper we went home and ate ice cream cake and I opened my birthday gifts. I got a tea cup flower pot and a pothos, gum, lemon drops, and a magnetic dry erase board. Samantha gave me her framed picture of a dragon fly. I also got from my friends a inscribed, decorative rock, cookies, and a painting.

Saturday we went to a welcome home party for Sarah at the Babiaks' house. She had been up in Michigan for a few weeks. While we were there Miss Hannah and Mommy took a "quick" trip the the ER. Rachel cut her ankle on a pole sticking out of the ground. She got 5 stitches.

Sunday we had home church. The week before our pastor send out a letter telling of his resignation. Since our church was so small it is now no longer a church. We are hoping and praying we will find a new church soon.

Monday was 4-H. We also started school then.

Tuesday we dropped off projects at the fair. We had to go twice because I forgot one of my plants. :(

Thursday Samantha, Emily, and I, with our 4-H group worked in the "House of Pork" at the fair. It sells pork sandwiches, soda, and water. We did that from 10am-1pm.

Friday we went to the fair and watched the Thelen Family Band play. Then Us girls (with our 4-H group) worked in the Youth Building at the fair. We just had to watch the 4-H projects, sell quilt raffle tickets, cookbooks and 4-H picture frames and bumper stickers. That was 12:30 to 1:00. Mommy took the other kids to ride rides.

Today we are helping the neighbor, Daddy is working on the room we are painting, and doing not much.

Hopefully I will start posting more regularly now.
