Levi wanted to help at camp, so we gave him a bucket of soapy water and he helped wash chairs.
Once again a whole month has gone by. This month has been a rather busy one. Just 2 days after my last post my parents bought a car! April 6. It was also Daddy's birthday. But we had celebrated it the day before, 'cause some of the kids had a meeting with 4-H on is birthday. =( I don't think it bothered him, but still..... Unfortunately I can't really remember all we did in April. I guess I'm suffering from short term memory loss. lol! But I DO know that Emily, Pete, and Daniel participated in drama fest with 4-H this year. So each week for 3 weeks then went and practiced. Then on the 25 they performed and were judged. Well, they had judges and all, but really the judges just watched and helped them know what they could've done better/different. They did a silly little skit/play about sitting on an invisible bench. It was rather humorous! April 18 (just go back a week in your thinking) Levi had his 4th birthday! We had Miss Karen and Elizabeth over for a while and they ate lunch with us! He is getting to be a real.....boy. He loves to play outside-baseball, bikes, scooters, dirt, running, yelling, the whole bit! But though sometimes we get tired of it, I'm very glad God made us all different. And I'm very glad I have brothers!!! Now in your thinking go back another week! The 11th, Emily and I went to youth group at church. My parents decided to give it a try. And so far they like it! And so do we! It's been nice to meet some people and I like the things they teach, especially the way Pastor Mike concentrates on God being the center. And the reason behind every decision we make. Ok, so now that the dates are real confused, think.....April 16. We got some gravel delivered for our driveway. Except it was the wrong kind, all 20 tons of it! So after we had spread most of it out (we figured we try and make it work) my dad drove on it and it just spun out from under the tires! So the next day they came and scooped it up! Then on Monday (19th) the brought the right stuff!!! The we had to spread it all out. That took some work. A lot of work. And at the end of the driveway we dug out a trench for the gravel. Since the drive way is about level to the road at the very end, we didn't want to just put gravel there because it kinda just roll away. So Samantha and I hacked (literally, with a hoe and hammer) a foot wide trench across the whole thing. And the dirt was hard! But the funny thing is, only our fingers were sore. Also towards the end of the month, Emily and I got our hair cut! Emily got hers about shoulder length with a few layers. It looks really good! And I got mine trimmed and some bangy-things, but I didn't really like it so Samantha took me back the next day (or two days later??) and they cut it a little above my shoulders, added some more layers, and fixed my bangy-ish things. I like it now! Sooo, that brings us to May.
Well the first (big) thing we did in may was go to CAMP!!! The 7th and 8th was the spring work weekend. We brought Lauren and Alena with us. Mommy, Daniel, Joy and Lillian stayed home, but the rest of us went! It was a lot of fun! One of my good friend, Kiley!!!! was there too! And some of our other friends from camp. There was a big turnout this year, around 100 people. Then the 9th (Mother's Day) was Samantha's 19th birthday. So we celebrated that and Daddy took Mommy out, shopping I think, but it was by themselves. Last Friday (14th) Samantha took Emily, Pete, Daniel, and I to our friends piano recital. Some of our friends were in it, and one, Kaila, is the teacher and was hosting (if that's the right word) it. Samantha has also been taking us to softball sometimes!!! (well, actually I think we've only been to one, but hey, that counts!) Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 9:50-ish I finished ALLLLLLL my school for this year!!!!! I'm was and am very happy about that!!!!!! =D Sunday we went to church and youth group. Monday I went to piano and Samantha went to the Cannalte's .(they are the family she has been tutoring for) Today she went too! We've also been getting the shed unloaded, the garden planted, doing flower beds, and yard stuff. (To tell the truth, mostly my mom and dad have been doing that.....) It has still been very nice weather, in the 60s and 70s. The last few weeks have been kinda rainy, but this week we have had a few sunny days too!
Lillian is getting her molars now! And she talkes a lot more! Sometimes we understand her, and sometimes, well, we don't.
Now that I'm done with my school, I'm getting especially excited for this summer! But yet I'm trying to enjoy all the days God has given me. The supper exciting ones, but also the more ordinary ones. In it all, the happy, sad, exciting, boring, or ordinary I strive to do what God has called me to do. And that is this, to
Ecclesiastes 12:13 (NKJV)
Now all has been heard;
here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments,
for this is the whole duty of man.
